Dr. Olivier Gheysens is Deputy Head at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Cliniques Universitaires
Saint-Luc Brussels and is member of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Research at the
Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He is chair of the Inflammation and Infection committee
of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) en member of the 4I’s joint initiative
between the EANM and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).
His clinical and research expert areas are non-invasive multimodal imaging of cardiovascular
disorders, infectious and inflammatory disorders as well as hematological malignancies. He has been
involved in writing several European guidelines and procedural recommendations for nuclear
imaging in infectious and inflammatory disorders.
